About
Welcome to Moshulu, a unique culinary gem located on the historic ship moored along the stunning Delaware River in Philadelphia. This New American seafood restaurant not only offers a feast for the palate but also an unparalleled dining experience aboard a majestic vessel that dates back to 1904.
Moshulu is more than just a meal; it’s an occasion. Its romantic ambiance, complemented by breathtaking water views, makes it an ideal spot for special celebrations or a cozy dinner with loved ones. The shared joy of dining here extends to its meticulously crafted menu, which includes a variety of options to suit all tastes — from seafood lovers to vegans.
The service at Moshulu shines just as brightly as its views. Patrons have noted the attentiveness and efficiency of the staff, who are ready to assist with recommendations and selections. Whether you are enjoying a quiet evening at a window-side table or participating in the lively atmosphere during weekends, you are sure to feel well taken care of.
However, while the ambiance and views may steal the show, the food sometimes plays a secondary role in the overall experience. Many diners appreciate the design and flavors but have noted that some offerings were not quite spectacular. Nonetheless, the jumbo lump crab cake has remained a star on the menu for two decades for its delightful balance and flavor.
In summary, Moshulu invites you to indulge not only in its culinary delights but to soak in its breathtaking surroundings and rich history. Whether you are celebrating a milestone, enjoying a casual dinner, or simply seeking a night out, Moshulu promises an enchanting evening that transcends ordinary dining.

“ Fabulous view of the Delaware from our table. Cocktail of choice was the Saturday in the Park which was very refreshing. As an appetizer we had the shrimp dip with pita, what a great starter. But the best was the Lobster Pot Pie! It was as filled with delicious vegetables perfectly cooked along with the lobster of course. My favorite was the mushrooms. The pastry was crisp with herbs baked in. Our server was amazing! He helped with selections and was very efficient as well as personable! ”
“ Came here for brunch and it had comfy vibes. Their salmon tower was difficult to serve bc of the tiers, but it was cute! Food was nothing to rave home about ”
“ Wait staff are amazing, service is great, food is delicious, not a lot of kid options besides your standard chicken fingers and cheeseburgers. Recommend requesting a table by a window for better lighting; the booths are incredibly dark. Parking is $20. This was our second time visiting and we ate earlier last year, so this year we were there for the dinner rush and it was quite loud. Especially with the large parties of patrons who didn't seem to care about their own personal volumes. ”
“ Had 1130AM reservations... This located in an old large tall rigged ship bulitbin 1904 ...very beautiful inside..seated at a window overlooking river. Waitress was very attentive & helpful.. Started with warm ricotta donuts ..has cinnamon sugar..creme anglaise..these are soooooooo awesome!! I apple pie golden waffles & bacon ... our kid had a burger ... she had roasted turkey BLT .. Reccomend highly for food & historic ship ... ”
“ gorgeous one-of-a-kind restaurant perfect for a special occasion! moshulu is truly a beautiful experience, you are definitely paying for the vibe. the ambience is very high end, the view of the river is spectacular, and service is amazing. it's truly a beautiful and well-decorated restaurant, and the fact that it's on a boat makes it such a unique experience. the food is good, but nothing special. we ordered the calabrian meatballs and the spicy tuna crispy rice as our appetizers. they tasted how i expected, though the spicy tuna crispy rice had too much rice and too little tuna. for our main, we shared the jumbo lump crab cake which was surprisingly tasty. our server said it's been on their menu for 20+ years and was a popular dish. we had the roasted fingerling potatoes as our side which was extremely average. overall, the food was unimpressive. this is definitely a pricy restaurant for the average food, but you are paying for the ambiance and view. definitely more of a special occasion spot. ”
“ Absolutely exquisite! I had the pleasure of attending my cousin's beautiful wedding, right on the Moshulu. It was so beautiful and such a treat. Gorgeous venue, beautiful interior, majestic ship exterior, and fabulous food! It was some of the best wedding food I've had. They had crab cakes, duck, and short rib. Drinks were great too! One of my favorite weddings!! ”
